Swedish stoves - selection & installation
Technology and materials in detail
- Dimensions: Standard models are approx. 100-130 cm high, 50-70 cm wide and 40-60 cm deep. Narrower versions are available for small flats.
- Steel is characterised by fast heat dissipation and a modern appearance. Soapstone has a high heat storage capacity and gives off heat evenly.
- Cast iron is robust, durable and resistant to temperature changes.
- Glass: Hardness-stable ceramic glass allows a clear view of the fire and can withstand temperatures of up to around 800 °C.
- Flue system: The flue output and the cross-section of the flue pipe must match the chimney exactly. This ensures clean, efficient combustion.
Swedish stove and fireplace - the differences
Many customers ask us about the difference between a Swedish stove and a fireplace. A Swedish stove is a free-standing stove with a closed combustion chamber. A fireplace, on the other hand, is permanently integrated into the wall and forms an architectural element of the room.
If you have a fireplace installed or a Swedish stove, the cost, technology and appearance differ considerably. ArtKamin will advise you on this in your house or flat in Zug or neighbouring Cham and will also accompany you to exhibitions organised by specialist dealers.
